News
New Version of Supplement Books Available:
For teachers that are supplementing the Making Connections series to meet the CCSS standards, new versions of the supplement booklets are available. The new versions include a table of contents that has much clearer guidance on how the supplemental lessons could be incorporated into the sequence of the corresponding Making Connections course. The new versions of the Algebra supplement and Grade 8 supplement also contain the lesson that was inadvertently omitted from the first version. Core Connections Available!
Preliminary editions of Core Connections Course 1 to 3 are now available for shipping. These new CPM texts for grades 6-8 are aligned with the CCSS standards. Click here for more information. (July 2011)

Assessment:
Assessment resources (sample study team tests and sample individual tests) to align with Core Connections 1-3 are in the process of being created. For teachers creating their own tests, there are test-question ideas in the test bank for Making Connections 1, Making Connections 2, and Algebra Connections. Test banks specifically aligned to Core Connections 1-3 will be available in Fall 2012. Teachers can contact their Regional Coordinator for online access to assessment resources. (July 2011)
Toolkits:
Generic toolkits for this year are now available. (September 2011)
New to Grades 6-8! Checkpoints:
There are "checkpoint" problems identified with an icon within the homework problems in Core Connections 1-3. These problems are provided for students to self-check whether they have mastered previous material at the appropriate place in the course. Students who have not mastered the checkpoint problem can turn to the review materials and practice problems on that topic at the back of their book. They should also consider getting help outside of class. The checkpoint problems are also available for download at no charge.
