Workshops for Teachers

CPM materials require significant change in the everyday work of the classroom. Because of this, CPM expects that teachers using the materials for the first time will attend three to four days of introductory workshops in August and three to five all-day meetings during the school year. Meetings are held in more than 20 different states throughout the U.S.

Workshops are scheduled at locations where CPM expects sufficient enrollment to conduct them. You must register TWO WEEKS before the first scheduled day of a workshop. Late registrations will be accepted on a space available basis. Workshops may be canceled, condensed, or rescheduled based on enrollment. Register early! Some travel may be involved to attend a CPM workshop. If you will be traveling to attend a summer workshop, you should contact the local Regional Coordinator for your workshop site to check that the workshop will be held before purchasing airfare or non-refundable lodging.

PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING A TEACHER EDITION, ©2002 (FFA, Math 1-3; Math 4 ©2001) OR LATER, ©2005 FOR CONNECTIONS COURSES, TO THE FIRST WORKSHOP MEETING.

CPM underwrites the cost of providing instruction in the use of CPM materials (i.e., workshops) for the 2008-09 school year. Teachers and districts are responsible to purchase a teacher edition and for any transportation, teacher stipends, and/or substitute costs. The curriculum for the workshops is based on the teacher edition(s) of the course(s) you are taking. YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT VERSION (SEE BOLD PRINT ABOVE FOR SPECIFICS) OF THE COURSE TEACHER EDITION(S) PRIOR TO THE FIRST WORKSHOP SESSION. Orders must be received two weeks before the first session to assure timely delivery.
