Dear Teachers:
On this page, you will find links to the various technology tools referenced in the Making Connections: Foundations for Algebra courses. To jump to the table of tools, click the appropriate course:

Tools for other platforms are continually being developed and updated, so be sure to visit this page regularly!
Note that these tools are specifically designed for the lessons within this text. Students are provided links via a different page to many of these tools so they can play with them (or use them to develop procedural fluency) at home.
Note that we always appreciate feedback. If you have suggestions for increasing the effectiveness of a tool, or for a new tech tool, please let us know at dietiker@cpm.org.

SmartBoard files

If you have difficulty opening the files, you may find that your browser renamed the file.
1. Check the name of the file.
Continue with these directions if the file name does not end in .notebook
2. Click on the file name. Wait a second or two and click the name once again.
3. You should now be able to rename the file with: filename.notebook
4. A message normally comes up asking if you really want to change the extension, click yes.
5. The file icon should be blue.
6. Your file should now boot up in SmartBoard software.
(Make sure that you have the SmartBoard software installed on your computer.
Your school gives you the code.)

Promethean Interactive White Board users can also open SMART Board files using their Activinspire software.
